Stay away from this hospital at all costs especially if you are in a life or death health related situation. My mother went to Weiss on Sept. 1, 2010 after she sustained a fall. The E.R. MD ordered x-rays of her back she was released that same evening. On Sept.15 2010 my mother went back to the hospital because she was still in excruciating pain. This time a different E.R. MD ordered x-rays to be taken of her ribs. Where low and behold they discovered EIGHT ,yes 8, displaced fractured ribs. The accident on Sept.1 was the only accident/fall she had.
Things went from bad to worse. Her doctor, a woman named Dr. Christine Manta , had signed involuntary commitment papers to have my mother moved to a locked ward. This was done without consulting me or my mother. My mothers' other doctor , Dr. Raja Gill valiantly came to the fore and read Manta and a Dr. Sandu the riot act and got my mother back to the floor and room she should have stayed in all along.
